Elizabeth Williams and Josh Castleberry of the Central Carolina Technical College PathWAY Program will discuss operator recruitment and retention.

Elizabeth has been at CCTC for ten years and works as the Director of the South Carolina Environmental Training Center. The Training Center is dedicated to providing continuing education programs for water and wastewater operators in South Carolina and throughout the southeast. She works with utilities and municiaplities to develop training and apprenticeship programs that best suit their needs. She serves as the Vice-Chair of the South Carolina Environmental Certification Board and is a member of Association of Boards of Certification’s Education Committee.

Josh is the primary instructor and program manager for the Environmental Engineering Technology program at Central Carolina Technical College for the past eight years. In that position he manages content for the degree and two workforce certificates, develops classes, investigates new technologies, manages adjunct instructors, advises over 50 students, and teaches multiple classes. Josh is a past chair of the WEASC Swamp Fox District, an AP Environmental Science Reader and a recipient of the South Carolina Governor’s Professor of the Year award.
